After that there is a short curing window on the sealant before the shower gets used, and we will tell you exactly how long when we finish. Then it is yours. Because the walls are not square and no photo will tell us by how much. Tile thickness varies, framing settles, and a curb can slope. We measure the real opening at several heights, note where it runs out, and fabricate to those numbers. Guessing from a rough size is how you end up with uneven gaps and a door that will not latch cleanly.
How long does the install take?
The install itself is typically a single visit once your glass is built. The longer part of the timeline is fabrication, which starts after we have your measurement and your choices locked in. We give you a realistic window when we measure rather than a number designed to sound good, and if anything shifts you hear it from us instead of after the fact.
Will you install glass in a shower you did not build?
Yes. Most installs go into an opening someone else tiled, whether that was the original builder in the 1990s or a remodeler you hired last month. We work with the opening as it exists.
