Why not just buy a door and have it installed?
You can, and people do. The trouble is that a boxed door is built for a perfect opening, and almost nobody has one. What fills the difference is shims, filler strips, and a bead of caulk doing work it was never meant to do. How far into a remodel should I call you?
After the tile is set and grouted, and before you want the shower back in service. Our standard heavy glass is 3/8 inch tempered. Tempered is safety glass, and at that thickness a panel feels planted instead of flexing every time you open it. Easy-clean glass is available as well, which is worth asking about around here, since Metro Detroit water leaves minerals on every surface it dries on. We will show you both options at the measure.
