Every glass install lives or dies on the measure. Walls are never plumb, especially in houses built the way Eastpointe's were, quickly and in volume after the war. A wall can lean a quarter inch over its height and still look perfectly straight to the eye. A curb can slope one direction while the wall above it leans the other. If nobody catches that before the glass is cut, the panel gets forced into an opening it does not fit, and somebody makes up the difference with shims, extra silicone, and optimism. That is where callbacks come from. We measure the opening in person, at the top, the middle, and the bottom, and we write down where it runs out of true.
Those numbers go straight to fabrication. The glass is cut and the holes are drilled to your opening, not to a standard size that gets fought with on site. Then the same crew that took the measurements comes back to set it. Nothing is handed to a subcontracted installer who never saw the room and is guessing from a work order. That continuity is why the door hangs level, the panels line up with each other, and the sweep sits down where it is supposed to. Measured Top to Bottom
We take the opening at the top, the middle, and the bottom, and we check both walls and the curb. If the opening is wider at one end than the other, that goes on the sheet. Your glass is then built to the actual shape of your bathroom instead of an average that fits nothing well.
3/8 Inch Tempered Glass
Our standard heavy glass is 3/8 inch tempered. It has real weight, so the door does not rattle or flex when you close it, and it carries hardware without needing a full frame around it. Tempered glass is safety glass. Easy-clean glass is available if you want it to shed water.
One Crew, Start to Finish
The people who measured your bathroom are the people who install in it. They already know about the wall that leans and the spot where the curb dips. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a shop, and a stranger with a drill. If a judgment call comes up on install day, the person making it has the history.
Installing in an Eastpointe Bathroom

We look at what we are drilling into before we drill, and we set anchors that will carry the panel for the long run rather than just through the walk-through. Where a seam or a bottom rail needs sealant, it gets sealant, and where a joint is meant to drain, we leave it open so it can. Then we clean up and take the packaging with us. The in-home measure that starts all of this is free, and there is no pressure attached to it.

Can you just use my old door's measurements?
We measure the opening fresh every time. The old door may have been cut wrong, forced in, or set before the room was tiled the way it is now, so its size tells us very little about what fits today. A new measure does not take long, and it is the single thing that keeps the finished install square, level, and dry.
What if my walls are not plumb?
They usually are not, and that is normal here. Out of plumb walls get handled at fabrication, by building the glass to the opening's real shape instead of to a rectangle it is not. That is the entire point of measuring in person. When the difference is severe, we tell you at the measure and explain what it means for the design before anything gets cut.
Do you handle tile or plumbing work too?
We do not. Tile, plumbing, and steam generators are other trades, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. What we do is glass. If your tile or your pan needs attention first, we will tell you at the measure so the sequence works out and your new glass goes onto a shower that is ready to receive it.
Can I see the glass and hardware before I decide?
